ECHA (European Chemicals Agency)

At a glance: The European Union agency that administers and supports the REACH chemicals law.

ECHA is the EU agency, based in Helsinki and operational since 2007, that manages the technical and administrative implementation of REACH. 17 It is the central point in the REACH system — managing the databases, coordinating evaluation, and running a public database where hazard information can be found. 16 It also publishes the Read-Across Assessment Framework, or RAAF.
